“To understand a society, you have to sit in a café!” says Albena Aleksandrova, founder of the brand Café Society by Albena Alexander.

Sitting at the café terrace on the sidewalk facing a large boulevard or some historic square next to a magnificent statue, you just let the sense of the city flow into you. There you observe, think, analyze, ask questions and pick up the pulse of the Society, the hectic rhythm of the passers-by. You listen and respond, meet people, decline invitations… and at some point the flying time will form your idea of the place.

In Paris, for example, the café is emblematic. It’s a philosophy, a way of life inspiring you to share, flirt and dream.

Thus, in the dawn of the 20th century, appeared the notion of CAFÉ SOCIETY – a symbol of society’s avant-garde, at first in Paris, then in London and New York. A synonym of “the beautiful people”, “la dolce vita” and “the shiny new things”, it was loud and sophisticated, and often hosted famous artists, musicians, poets, actors, dancers, fashion designers, wealthy aristocratic men and women in an atmosphere filled with numerous opportunities. The regular visitors of CAFÉ SOCIETY created both the modern avant-garde and the modern elite of Europe. It was bustling with names like Picasso, Braque, Modigliani, Max Jacob, Chanel, Poiray, Lanvin, Jean Cocteau, Louis Aragon, Stravinsky, Valentine Hugo, Diaghilev and Marcel Proust.

There is a long list of those who dictated fashion, the trend-setters who increasingly abandoned the monotonous and archaic.

Just imagine CAFÉ SOCIETY's magnificent annual ball dressed by Gabrielle Chanel “whose audacity in style is admirable”; or a première party of Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes composed by Stravinsky and organized by the wealthy American expatriates Sarah and Gerald Murphy who had inspired Scott Fitzgerald for Tender Is the Night. What distinguishes the "Café Society" is its talent to be different and to express itself in its unique way!

It has its own characteristic style that inspires Albena Alexandrova to create her Café Society by bringing together artists, designers, jewelers and fashioners.

CAFÉ SOCIETY BY ALBENA ALEXANDER is created by Albena Alexandrova, renowned designer and three-time winner of the most prestigious fashion award in Bulgaria "Golden Needle", a personal stylist and founder of the fashion brand "Roshavata garga", who has worked for big fashion houses like Yves Saint Laurent, Sonia Rykiel and others.

"I’d like to bring together Bulgarian design artists in clothing, jewelry and accessories, interior decoration, as well as some of our talented painters. I use the symbolism and the avant-garde significance of the Café Society, and transfer it to our native authors worthy of presentation outside of our country. I will mention the names of Daniela Andreevska - jeweler with a unique style; Teodor Lulchev – distinctive in his design; Violeta Naydenova - in her hands the leather dances; and myself – with a line of clothes in "easy to wear" style. I will present an interesting collection of paintings and artists - Vihroni Popnedelev, Ivan Georgiev-Rembrandt, Dechko Uzunov, Kazakov, Encho Pironkov, Genko Genkov, Shtarkelov, Zlatio Boyadjiev, Jules Pascin, Iliya Beshkov, Petko Arnaudov, Niki Yanakiev and many others,” says Albena Alexandrova.

Every single piece of artwork at Café Society is unique in design and is a single copy. The source of inspiration in Café Society comes from its originality and cannot be revealed by any specific thing. Café Society is a combination of elements centered on the Author and based on the intuition of its creator about "what's in the air."

"Fashion wanders the streets without realizing its existence until the moment when I might have expressed it in my own way. Fashion, like the landscape, is a state of mind through which we express ourselves." Coco Chanel
